06 Gut–Brain Connection

The gut and brain communicate in both directions. Signals travel through nerves such as the vagus, through immune pathways, hormones and compounds produced during digestion and microbial fermentation.

Stress and emotion can influence gut movement and sensitivity, while gut discomfort can affect mood and daily life. These links do not mean symptoms are “all in your head”; they describe interacting body systems.

There is no single gut–brain reset. Sleep, regular meals, movement and stress support may help general wellbeing, while ongoing or severe symptoms call for individual medical advice.
